After 10 years in the Society for Creative Anachronism, I encountered Adria through a friend of a friend (Sir Elric Gulesdrake, to be exact - so it's all HIS fault!). Only a year later, I had not only acted as Herald on more than one occasion, I had also judged arts competitions and had cooked two feasts! I decided that Adria offered a new and fresh attitude toward the Dream that I felt I would like to share.
I am now the chief heraldic officer for the Empire, using the title of Fleur-de-Lis after the main charge of the Arms of the Adrian Empire:

I was Trident Pursuivant under Sir Guillaume and Dame Felinah for two years. Immediately after leaving their service, I became Herald to Sir Mathghamhain in Adria, and you know the rest of the story!
In my real life, I do technical support, which guarantees me regular hours and a regular paycheck.
My persona story has undergone some considerable morphing. I used to be a 6th Century Byzantine, but because of my job as Imperial Sovereign of Arms and the person in charge of Imperial ceremonials, I have mutated into a mid-1550's English persona. Most of the garb I wear is from around that time period, although I will occasionally pull out an old Byzantine or Viking once in a while.

This is the wedding of the Baron of Calafia, Sir Guillaume de la Belgique, and his lady, the Baroness of Calafia, Lady Felinah Tifara Memo Hazara Khan-ad-Din. (As of this writing, they have both served as King and Queen of Caid!) I am wearing the Calafian tabard and am giving the King (Sir Edric - the cute blond guy and current Crown Prince of Caid) his lines. Felinah has received a bouquet of flowers and a map of the Barony of Calafia, representing the bequeathment of the Barony as her Dowry. They had actually gotten married in a real ceremony the week before, but this was their in-persona marriage.
