Iglesias de los SoldadosDuring the Middle Ages and Rennaisance in Europe, the Church played a very important role. While historically the Christian Church (in its various demoninations) was the most influential, Adria is a non-religious organization. The Church of Adria was created to be a non-religious way to acknowledge the importance of the Church in history, and to bring the pomp and circumstance into our ceremonies. In July, 2000, this writ was passed by the Imperial Estates: The sect of the Adrian Church known as Iglesia de los Soldatos are to be officially elevated from sect status to Church status. As such the Iglesia de los Soldatos will not be a part of the Church of Adria but will, in fact, be its own entity. And thus, the Church of the Soldiers was brought into its own existence. While still not a religious entity in any way, it provides a decidedly military angle to the pomp and circumstance it brings to Adria. For information on the Adrian Empires policy on religion, see the Bylaws, Article XIII. A Message from the founder: Have you ever heard old soldiers talk of enemy soldiers with respect? I have and have found great honor in such an attitude. In our Empire, encouragement of this is nothing less that assurance of the Empire's survival. Our church venerates the brotherhood of soldiers. We will lead the charge in creating an air of celebration durin any Adrian war. We will set the example of sportsmanship, and work to acknowledge good sportsmanship and chivalry on the field, by others. ~Prophet Warhammer Officers of the Church
