The Archduchy of Carolingia

Bay area counties, northern California

The Renaissance Military Society (RMS) is located in the Bay Area of California, and has been very active in the major renaissance pleasure faires of that area. In existence for a number of years, they checked out Adria and liked what they saw. En masse, they joined, creating an instant archduchy (Tierra del Fuego) in 1996.

Dedicated to historical recreation since the 1960’s, this subdivision recently changed its name to Carolingia, but remains a font of knowledge and expertise. Still dedicated to the faires of northern California, their participation in Adria ebbs and flows, but their presence is always felt.

  • Practices are usually the 4th Saturday of the Month, E-mail Sir Karl for schedule of events and gatherings.
  • This group also practices extensively with local chapters of The Empire of Chivalry and Steel, and the Renaissance Military Society.
