Sir Sergay Ruslanovich

The Duchy of Ekaterinegorod

Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, New Mexico, Eastern Montana

In the reign of Katherine and Jehan the Shire of Ekaterinegorod was formed. At the time, the West was heavily “European” with lots of Scots and Irish and Landesknechts, etc., while the East had Il Khans on both the Throne of York and the Throne of Dragon’s Mist. The subjects of this shire (centered in Denver, Colorado, but extending well beyond in all directions) saw it as an excellent opportunity to add to the little knowledge that’s out there. It’s only been a decade or so since the Iron Curtain came down and there has been access to the research and archeology there.

Ekaterinegorod proper is supposed to represent primarily a city on the Black Sea nearish to Moldova. In a larger sense, it encompasses the area from Northern Finland to Egypt and from the Eastern Border of Germany to the Eastern border of Kazhakstan. Ekaterinegorod was named for the then-Empress, Dame Katherine Marshal of London. The origin of the name for the Canton of Jehannesberg was named for then-Emperor, Sir Jehan von Hapsburg.
