In November, 2000, the shire of Borealis was chartered. It fell prey to the wicked winters of Minnesota, and quickly went inactive. Another attempt was made in July, 2002, and again was unable to cope with the weather conditions which prevented many of the activities Adria enjoys. In early 2004, Nassau was chartered. With a concentrated focus by the founders, and by Adrians, we are convinced this time the shire will flourish.
